Aden-'adenpress'
In
what political analysts described as a desperate move, official Yemeni
newspapers and websites have announced the intention of Yemeni
president Marshal Ali Abdullah Saleh to make the world biggest national
flag in Aden, the southern city ravaged by separatist sentiments since
1994 war.
Analysts have considered the move as a desparet reaction against the
increasing nubmers of the South Yemen flags seen flying all over South
Yemen cities (South Arabia), the country that has been seeking
independence form the north military-tribal-religious occupation for
more than a decade.
Worth
mentioning that people of South Yemen consider the Yemeni flag as a
sign of occupation that they are forced to see every day and every
where. Yemen, which is one of the poorest and most corrupted countries
in the world has failed in suppressing the independent movement in the
south.
