Participants in a rally launched in the city of Mahfed, on Saturday, denounced what they called "violations of the occupation forces to human rights in the South", expressing their condemnation about the "bombardment on the safe villages and cities" in reference to what happened to Radfan's districts, during the past week, which left a number of injuries and damage to shops and houses.
Demonstrators wandered around the city streets waving flags of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen, green flags and photographs of the South Yemeni leader "Ali Salem al-Baid."
As speakers stressed that "the unity of May is dead," and turned to an "occupation", they said that "the only solution to keep the bonds of brotherhood between the two peoples is a peaceful disengagement."
After the festival protesters went to participate in a camp, made to express solidarity with al-Magala's victims, who murdered by an air raid on December 17th and left more than fifty people, mostly women, elderly people, and children.
Today's festival is in conjunction with a celebration by the Yemeni government to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the unity of Yemen, in Taiz city in northern Yemen
