Patrols of police and Central Security motorized and on foot closed a square in the city of "Sheik Othman" in the north of Aden, the city which had been intended to establish in it a peaceful sit-in to commemorate the 16th anniversary of the "Day of the Disengagement", which the southern leader "Ali Salem Al-Beedh" declared "disassembling" the unity.
Patrols by police and Central Security surrounded the entrances to the centre of "Al-Hashmi square" in Sheikh Othman, and also combed the back streets, leading to the square and arrested a number of boys and young men.
Local sources in the City of Crater, in Aden, said that the civilian police arrested the activists "Assad Sakinah" and "Wathek Mohammed Al-Mahboobi" while the activist "Yasser Omar" was not available in his house at the time of a raid by the police.
The Southern Movement has called to commemorate the 16th anniversary of declaring the disengagement in the city of Aden, the former capital of People's Democratic Republic of Yemen, also the Southern leader "Ali SalemAl-Beedh" called on Thursday from his exile in Austria, in a speech through the channel of Aden, to participate in the day festival in Aden.
